Man, woman arrested following New Jersey robbery

When a crime occurs in a community, the desire to hold someone accountable is understandable. However, there must be sufficient evidence to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in order for a person to be convicted of a crime. Despite this, it is unclear what evidence connects a New Jersey man to a robbery in which police say he was involved.

Police responded to a convenience store just after 2 a.m. The store was allegedly robbed by a man wearing a mask, reportedly carrying a gun. However, police say that the man left the scene with an undetermined amount of money before they arrived at the scene. An investigator located a fake gun in the area that is believed to have been discarded by the alleged robber.

Later that day, two police officers reportedly approached a 22-year-old man and 20-year-old woman. Though it is unclear what led investigators to these people, reports claim that they both fled. They were taken into custody following a foot chase described as "intense." The man faces multiple charges, including robbery, possession of an imitation firearm, obstruction of the administration of the law and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The woman is charged with obstruction of the administration of the law and has since been released.

The charges stemming from the alleged robbery are serious, leaving the young man to make decisions that will likely have a significant impact on the rest of his life. Unfortunately, without legal training, he may not have the necessary information to make informed decisions. Many people in New Jersey who find themselves in a similar legal predicament want an experienced professional on their side as they navigate the criminal justice system, ensuring that they fully understand the implications of any decision they make.
