New Jersey school bus driver accused of reckless driving

When it comes to driving in New Jersey, there are multiple situations that could lead to a traffic accident. For example, some accidents are caused by drivers who experience a medical condition. Unfortunately, certain medical situations can look very similar to drunk driving and lead to criminal charges and traffic citations, such as reckless driving.

In fact, a school bus driver was recently arrested after he was accused of striking five cars and a fire hydrant. Police say that the incidents that led to the man's arrest happened one morning on a day in late September. Other than the driver, only one student and an aide were on the bus at the time; only one of the vehicles was said to be severely damaged.

The New Jersey bus driver faces multiple accusations following the incidents. In fact, police say that the 52-year-old man was driving under the influence, though it is unclear what his blood alcohol content was at the time. They also claim that he was driving on a suspended license. In addition to the other charges and citations, he is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The driver was the only person injured in the incident.

Because the incident involved a bus driver, it is likely to attract a great deal of media attention and other interest. As such, many people may temporarily forget that a person is presumed innocent unless and until sufficient evidence is provided to prove otherwise. An attorney with experience involving reckless driving and DUI cases can help the man respond to the allegations against him.
